At the hearing today, the judge did not dismiss the case as the opposition had hoped, but instead said he would read our brief more carefully before he makes his ruling!
Lawsuit filed in Federal Court, charging that Californians do not have true representation.
CALIFORNIA COMMONWEALTH
It is almost common knowledge that when it comes to self-governance, California is in shambles. It has been suggested by many that California is "ungovernable" most notably Dan Walters of the Sacramento Bee. So, I have started this website as my contribution to part of my effort to reform this system that is so badly broken.
One may ask why I feel compelled to add my two cents worth as there are so many reform groups already pontificating. I have to say that it's because I have very different solutions from most reform groups, solutions that are not only important but which no one else even sees or advances. This is simply because I have taken the time to hone in on the problems
I was compelled by one person's statement that "We will continue to do the things we have done long after we have forgotten the reason we did them." And we have forgotten the reasons we have and do so many of the things we do. Thus I have spent much time researching the root "whys" of government to find the proper sources of reform, especially in California.
I have been able to find fundamental flaws, which are mainly departures from past virtues, and therefore see the need for basic reforms. I have been able to focus on where reforms need to take place. The greatest of which is the need to increase representation. We do not have enough representatives for our population at any level of Government State, Federal, County or City. Representation has not increased with the population and thus is the root to which most of our problems begin
So, I start this Blog with an interest in making reforms that will have the greatest effect in the following areas:
1. Establish Government that is responsive and accountable to individuals as well as the citizens as a whole.
2. Establishing a "Balanced Government" that achieves the goal of being accountable.
3. Ensuring that Property Rights are protected which includes a "Fair system of Taxation."
4. And other similar reforms.
